Morphology in practice: Regina Stralka in conversation with the WSG

21 January, 18:30 - 19:15

Morphology as impact research around industrial design, product development and health research

Regina Stralka in the sea of lights of the Kurfürstendamm, Berlin

The path of the effects researcher Regina Stralka began during her studies in Cologne. Art analogue research on the "psychology of things" - e.g. Resopal, Cloggs and Dungarees - as well as events on art and culture - for example on "Melancholia" (Prof. Heubach Seminars) - were "reality openers" for Ms. Stralka with high insight and entertainment value.

From these experiences, the research and consulting company "Public Perception" (founded in 2001 with Alan Lasak). Inter/national impact research: industrial design, product development and branding strategies in the field of automobility. At first it was all about "cars", their material qualities, performance and above all "Design" - for Living. Later, it was also about "Health Care", "Mental Illness" and world diseases such as diabetes and depression.

The replacement of the analogue by the digital is reflected in "Public Perception" in an evolution of themes: in cars from material and driving to "connected" and becoming dangerous. In the processes, from Big Data pattern recognition and strategy consulting to medium as "message" and as everyday plastic. Two examples will illuminate Ms. Stralka's work in the online conversation with Maria Ugarova: SUVs and digital sleep aids.

The interview is conducted by WSG board member Maria Ugarova.
It will be held as a ZOOM meeting and will start promptly at 6:30pm.
